Eligibility

Who can take part in this study?

To take part in this study, you will need to meet all the following (other criteria apply):

Aged 18 and over
No history of any conditions that may affect facial muscle movement or significant eye disorders
Access to a smart device and iPhone (model 13 as a minimum)
Experiencing mental health symptoms that could be related to PTSD, Depression, and/or Anxiety
Where

This is a virtual study, all visits will be completed remotely

About this study

01Who can take part in this study?-

To take part in this study, participants will need to meet all the following (other criteria apply):

  • Aged 18 and over
  • Access to a smart device and iPhone (model 13 as a minimum)
  • No history of any conditions that may affect facial muscle movement or significant eye disorders
  • Experiencing mental health symptoms that could be related to PTSD, Depression, and/or Anxiety.
02Who is unable to take part in this study?+

Unfortunately, if any of the following criteria apply to you, this study is not the right fit for you:

  • Have history of seizure disorders or epilepsy
  • History of neurological conditions that may affect facial muscles
  • History of conditions that are associated with the Central Nervous System.

03What does the study involve for participants?+

If the study is deemed suitable for you, participation is expected to last approximately 5 weeks, with 3-4 study visits involved (remote)

Participation in this research is voluntary, participants may withdraw from the study at any time.

04What is the purpose of this study?+

The study is working to develop a diagnostic tool to support the identification of PTSD symptoms that could assist in supporting people suffering from symptoms of PTSD in a more accessible way.

05What is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?+

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a condition that can present following a traumatic incident. It can present in multiple ways and looks different for some people. It can manifest in symptoms of anxiousness, fear, avoidance, sleep difficulties and many other ways.

06Why is this study important?+

This study is important as it is working towards an alternative method of diagnosing the symptoms of PTSD that can support diagnosis in multiple environments and assist in distinguishing between PTSD symptoms and other mental health conditions in a more accessible ways.

07Who is sponsoring this study?+

This study is being sponsored by Senseye Australia. Senseye is developing tools to enhance and speed up the diagnostic processes for mental health conditions.

This is a virtual study, all visits will be completed remotely.
